چکیده

Choosing the species suitable for cultivation in intercropped systems is a critical limiting factor grain and forage production. This study aimed to evaluate growth, nodulation, production, physiology of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) guandu bean (Cajanus cajan) with buffel grass (Cenchrus ciliaris) Eucalyptus urograndis (Eucalyptus grandis × urophylla) an integrated production system. Two experiments were conducted simultaneously, arranged 2 4 factorial scheme. The first consisted use two systems. second four distances (2, 4, 6, 8 m) from eucalyptus planting rows. In experiment, crop–forest (CFIS: trees cowpea) crop–livestock–forest (CLFIS: trees, cowpea, grass) evaluated. second, livestock–forest LFIS1 (eucalyptus bean) LFIS2 bean, nodulation was not influenced by distances, whereas there reduction nodules’ number dry mass distance trees. Higher biomass photosynthetic activity observed increasing However, increased 100-seed weight at m rows, improving grains’ quality close simultaneous did affect leguminous plant yield, promoting greater diversification total intercropping.

Plant growth promotion in cereal and leguminous agricultural important plants: from microorganism capacities to crop production.

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are free-living bacteria which actively colonize plant roots, exerting beneficial effects on plant development. The PGPR may (i) promote the plant growth either by using their own metabolism (solubilizing phosphates, producing hormones or fixing nitrogen) or directly affecting the plant metabolism (increasing the uptake of water and minerals), enhanci...

Effects of Phytohormones on Nodulation and Nitrogen Fixation in Leguminous Plants

Leguminous plants form root nodules, in which symbiotic rhizobia fix atmospheric nitrogen. The nodulation process in the legume-rhizobium symbiosis consists of a series of events initiated by an exchange of specific signaling compounds between the two partners. The roots of leguminous plants secrete flavonoids, which trigger the synthesis of lipochitin-oligosac‐ charide signaling molecules, Nod...

Integrated production planning and preventive maintenance in deteriorating production systems

This paper discusses the issue of integrating production planning and preventive maintenance in manufacturing production systems. In particular, it tackles the problem of integrating production and preventive maintenance in a system composed of parallel failure-prone production lines. It is assumed that when a production line fails, a minimal repair is carried out to restore it to an ‘as-bad-as...

Integrated production planning and preventive maintenance in deteriorating production systems

The traditional production planning model based upon the famous linear programming formulation has been well documented. However, the integration of preventive maintenance planning in the same model is a recent problem. This paper proposes an extended linear programming model as a hybrid approach for computing the optimum production plan with minimum total cost. The dual objective problem of pr...
